Thank you for a wonderful stay--not only is it beautiful, peaceful, and extraordinarily relaxing, but the breakfast was delicious and the company great. Thank you-- I am sure we will be back (with the fish!)

Thanks for taking us in the "spur of the moment." We had a lovely time. Best of all, we feel as if we have made new friends. All the best,
S and K fom Ridgefield, CT in February 2012.
The weather was good, the birding was good-the hospitality and accommodation here were fabulous! We love the setting, the peace, but most of all your company and wonderful suggestions. Thank you for a wonderful few days.
D and N from Byfield, MA in October 2011.
We came to one of our favorite places, full of fond memories and, to our delight, we've found another reason to love this special spot and have added it to our memories. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home and allowing us a lovely respite from city life. Mornings on your porch will nourish us for weeks to come! We're thrilled that S..'s first stay at the pond has been so wonderful!
Thank you! We'll see you again soon,
S, T, and S from Brooklyn, NY in October 2011.
This return was one of our favorites. Sharing in the experience of Wellfleet's history, learning about LD Baker, seeing the fly collection from the 1800's, and holding the beautiful bamboo fly rod made this trip so remarkably memorable. All in the backdrop of the most extraordinary weather and the most enjoyable game of Mah Jongg. We simply can not thank you enough for sharing your home and passion of Wellfleet with us. We can not wait for our next visit. Much love,
J and C returning again from Jamaica Plain, MA in October 2011.
"A Magical Place!" From V, Northhampton, MA "This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay which was way beyond our expectations. It's very private with great access to two ponds, lovely views, and your own little beach. The breakfasts are fantastic. But the best thing about this little paradise are its owners, Randy and Pat. They are so kind and gracious and knowledgeable. Their presence was such a gift. And by the way, the room is beautiful and separate from the house, a real jewel. We will go back very soon."

How very lucky we are that some kind but unlucky soul cancelled their visit here. It's been a glorious couple of days and the highlight has been this gem of a place and extraordinary hospitality. When we arrived, we had plans to go to the beach all day, but when we saw this lovely spot, we were simply smitten and just couldn't leave. It's been a wonderful respite, with delicious food and lively conversations. We felt so very welcomed from the first moment we arrived. Thank you for so fully opening your marvelous home to us. We can't wait to return. Warmly and gratefully,
V and S from Northhampton, MA in September 2011.
"Tranquility in Wellfleet!" from Cand P, Olivebridge, NY "We spent a lovely September weekend at Gull Cottage. The location between two pristine freshwater ponds allows for great birdwatching and quiet morning swims. Pat and Randy are gracious hosts who regaled us with delicious breakfasts and wonderful conversation each morning on their screened porch. The cottage is homey and private, beautifully furnished, with a wonderful selection of books and artwork to enjoy."

What serendipity to have landed in this magical place for a few days of R&R! The tranquility and beauty of the ponds, the exquisite breakfasts and wonderful conversation with the two of you, and the comfort of our nest in the boathouse, combined to make this a perfect getaway for us. We'd love to stay in touch and come again some day. With warmest wishes,
C and P from Olivebridge, NY in September 2011.
Wonderful place, close to my heart. It was so great to see you both again. We loved the Boathouse. Thanks so much for everything...just being on the ponds is a treat...

This week was a highlight of our year! It was a respite from the frenetic NY life that we will always cherish. You are the perfect hosts-- no detail was too small to address. We appreciated the warmth of your hospitality and the delicious breakfasts with great conversations. See you next year!
Fondly, S and W from Scarsdale, NY in August 2011.
"Nirvana!" from S, Scarsdale, New York. We stayed at Gull Cottage last summer and the owners, Randy and Pat went above and beyond to make our stay idyllic. Their cottage is finely appointed with nice linens, comfortable furniture, good lighting and lots of windows. They thought of anything you might need during your stay. Breakfasts were delicious. The pancakes, fresh fruit, quiches and omelettes were cooked to perfection. The studio is on top of a boathouse which is insulated from the historic main house by lots of trees and shrubs. There is a magnificent view from the deck of the ponds and the sunset. We brought our bikes and our kayaks and had a ball. It's a nice bike ride to the public ocean beeches and into town. Couldn't be more convenient. Two very big Thumbs Up.

You provided a lovely home for us this week. Living at Gull Cottage has been a treat. We appreciate all the care you have taken to make our stay so comfortable and relaxing. The natural beauty here is delightful, and your home is charming. M.. appreciated all the favorite foods you gave her, especially the fruit shaped like a fish! The meals were delicious and bountiful and a wonderful way to start the day. We were glad to get a chance to get to know you and discover many common interests. You made us feel like family. Thank you,

"The Gull Cottage is far above any expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in a real treat. Pat and Randy, the hosts, are people of a kind rare to find. You get immediately the impression that they are not providing a service against your payment, but that they are authentically interested in your well-being. During the days of your stay you feel you are welcome and that they are eager to allow you all the space, privacy and yet the care you need. In many ways, it is like a honor to be at their place. The cottage is an independent boathouse, which is fully refurbished in a way that is both efficient and cosy. It is clean to the last detail and very practically set up. There is nothing you would need that it is not there, and if something else is mentioned you have it ready for you in no time. It is far from the hosts' home and yet close enough to ask for anything you need (even directions and tips about where to go next in the region). The thing we appreciated deeply is the silence and the closeness to nature. The ponds are most charming, and swimming and kayaking there are quite a nicely charming experience. The variety of species out there (of the harmless kind, that is) is overwhelming. Pat and Randy are specialists on practically anything you need for a vacation. They cook wonderful and varied breakfasts (yes, they cook their own bread if you want it!) and all is prepared following their deep knowledge about health and nutrition. They know about the region; they are themselves experienced hikers, kayakers, sailors, cyclists, etc. Besides, they are most entertaining, such that little by little you start counting on what intriguing story is going to come next. And yet, they are experts at perceiving when you want to move on and be on your own. So... highly recommended. Have we said that? " Check the box to have this review appear on your listing. Our honeymoon was supposed to be the starting point of our lives, and we couldn't imagine a more special place to begin a lifetime of memories. From the pleasant conversation over a delicious breakfast to a dip in Gull Pond, our vacation was as idyllic as a Cape vacation could be.
David and Ellen O from MA, who vacationed in July 2010.
"My husband and I spent an idyllic five days at Gull Cottage B and B. The beauty of the setting is almost indescribable. You are located at the intersection of two ponds which are spectacularly beautiful to look at, swim in and boat on. you are only several miles from the ocean so the location is perfect. The studio apartment (i.e. boathouse studio) is newly renovated and is private, extremely comfortable and absolutely lovely. And, as if that weren't enough, Randy and Pat are the most wonderful hosts I've ever encountered. You feel as if you are their guests and Pat's wonderful breakfasts and the conversations with both Randy and Pat made us feel as if we were staying with wonderful new friends. We have been vacationing in Welfleet for over twenty years and my husband said that, by far, this was the most wonderful place he had ever stayed. He will be upset that i have shared these thoughts, as he's afraid too many will discover it! Give yourself a treat and stay at Gull House B and B. You will remember it for a lifetime!"

Jen B from Needham, MA, who vacationed in May 2010.
Though my stay here was brief, it was blissful. Gull Cottage and its environs are so full of delights--from hummingbirds to junipers, from chickadees to chokecherries. Thanks again for your immense hospitality...I have no doubt I will be signing this book again before summer's end.
Christina D from Boston, MA, who vacationed in May 2010.
We found a touch of heaven here. The studio was thoughtfully furnished. The birds, the lake, the walks, the swims all made it a truly memorable and relaxing trip. We look forward to spending many more such vacations with both of you.
